Handmade in solid rosewood, with spring blossom motif handcarved into front apron. This customer wanted a tatami bed that was unique to the ones on the market both superior in style and quality. Hand assembled by hand with all wood joinery, ideal for humid environments that would otherwise rust steel beds (Hello, Oahu!)The spine beams and four legs are joined together with the four solid rosewood frameset with a simple yet ingenious exposed slot tenon system, assembled and disassembled in just two minutes by one person.This particular frame is queen size but can be special ordered in any size and can be used with Japanese tatami mats or any combination of mattresses and/or box spring. Exclusively designed, handcrafted in solid rosewood, and sold exclusively at Rosewood House.
